St Margaret’s Mysteries - Sport and Physical Education

Sport and Physical Education have both played important roles throughout our history.

I am calling on your memories this term. I would enjoy collating a dossier on Physical Education and/or Sport at St Margaret’s… from your memories. This would cover lessons – in the original “gym” in the stables, to the “old” gym, to the small pool, the big pool, the courts, the first Philip Harris Sports Hall to our new sporting precinct and any interschool or interhouse memories of sport. It is your anecdotal evidence that gives us a vivid picture of our history.

Don’t worry musical and dramatic students, your turn will come as the year progresses! Your memories are pure gold and need to be recalled. Sport and Physical Education have both played important roles throughout our history. Memories of the uniforms, the training sessions, the competitions, the camaraderie of teams (both interhouse and interschool) all go together to paint a realistic picture. You can email me msurtees@stmargarets.qld.edu.au or phone me and we can chat over the phone – (07) 3862 0816.
