Thank you to those Old Girls who have sent in their family connections to St Margaret’s. If you have three or more relatives who attended St Margaret’s, please contact me with your family connections. We have some interesting and long associations with our families.
Bronwyn Perry, our original St Margaret’s archivist, did a splendid job of collating Old Girls and Old Boys who served in the first and second world wars in many and varied capacities. Sadly, war has not stopped after WWII. There have been ongoing conflicts - the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, Afghanistan and the War on Terror. Did our Old Girls serve in these conflicts? Do we have Old Girls who continue to serve our country in the armed forces? If so, please contact me with details. Did you, your mother, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother serve? If so, please send in the details. And not to be forgotten, did we have brothers, fathers, uncles, grandfathers and great grandfathers who served and who attended St Margaret’s at some stage? Keep in mind, that boys attended St Margaret’s from the early twentieth century to the late 1950s, so there will have been old ‘boys’ who may have served.
